That’s it for this week. Keep your applications sharp and good luck landing that next opportunity!

Had two “remote” automation PM roles flip to hybrid during final rounds — , confirm scope early. I ask for “% travel/site time” and safety onboarding requirements in writing up front, since these real-time posts disappear fast; SME’s board updates quickly: https://careers.smenet.org. Anyone landing fully remote outside planning/schedule analytics?

Seeing a few “remote” automation roles this week that are remote until commissioning — then you hit the OT wall with no VPN/PI access… I get the tool stack and data access in writing (VPN/RDP, historian, PLC sims) and confirm FAT/SAT travel is paid and capped. +1 to @chris9459, and I’d also lock in time zones for standups if the site runs night shift.

Quick example: I lost a week on a tailings telemetry upgrade because I wasn’t provisioned in Aconex — now I get “document control access + named reviewer” written into the SOW before I accept. If they don’t use Aconex, I confirm the shared mailbox and file path on day one so reviews don’t stall.
