Emergency drill meets donut box

We ran a 6:30 a.m. evacuation drill today, and a box of donuts slid off the pickup, turning the muster point into an actual slip hazard. We secured the area, used the spill kit, and added ‘donut box placement’ to the risk assessment — anyone else have a drill that created its own lesson?

Next drill, park a lidded tote at the pickup and make it the designated “snack zone” a few meters off the egress path so anything sugary stays out of the foot traffic; learned that after a coffee geyser did a banana‑peel routine on me. Love the “donut box placement” callout, though if you’re tight on space you could just tape a small drop area by the tailgate. Do you let coffees travel during drills or make folks park drinks before the horn?

We started assigning a ‘food marshal’ during drills to stage the treats in one spot and radio “Code Glazed” if anything hits the deck, then we fold a 30‑second absorbent toss into the scenario. @timothy2584’s snack zone idea is solid; if you can’t tote it, a short cargo strap around the box keeps it from surfing off the pickup. Curious if anyone’s tried grippy trays at muster for box control.

Strap the donuts in a milk crate with a bungee; add it to the ‘donut box placement’ line :doughnut:.
